Owner Extraordinaire
Dean first took on The Spoke Shop in 2011 and has turned it into the bike hub of Billings! He partners with Pedal United, Trailnet, BLM, and YRPA to help bring more to the bike community such as Acton Recreational Area and Blue Creek Bike Park. Dean loves introducing people to the world of electric bikes and loves to see the huge smiles that come from a great biking experience! You can catch Dean ripping around on his custom build Gen 4 Turbo Levo from Specialized.

Sales Lead
In early 2024, we added to our team of rock stars and brought James on as not only our lead salesman, but our group ride leader for our Wednesday night MTB rides. James first remembers his passion for bikes as a young kid on a big wheel tricycle, and then solidified that love at eight when he first watched the Tour de France. Just like any bike fanatic, James has a wide array of bicycles in his collection. His bikes range from a Specialized Roubaix to a Trek Fuel EX. Nothing is unenjoyable for James! Get stoked with James on our next Wild West Wednesday group ride!

Kyra
Marketing Manager
Kyra has a long family history in the bike world and it shows. Although she is not as avid as most of the team at the Spoke Shop, Kyra greatly enjoys commuting via her Specialized Sirrus 3.0 and especially enjoys riding with her son at Blue Creek Bike Park. She has a genuine interest in helping people find the right bike for the right situation.

Bike Fitter
Chad first got involved with The Spoke Shop January of 2014 after he attended s bike fitting training at Specialized headquarters. The following two years he continued his training sessions and built his skills to become one of the best bike fitters in Billings! Not only does Chad have an amazing gift at bike fits, his riding skills range from BMX, trials, mountain, road, and gravel. Chad is an integral piece of the Spoke Shop team and we highly recommend utilizing his expertise to level up your riding game!

McKay
Service Manager
Another amazing player in our shop is McKay, our service manager! First starting in 2014, McKay is quite the asset especially when it comes to his shop specialties: Wheel building and suspension service. McKay's go-to ride is a full suspension Transition Bottle Rocket with the awesome Kids Ride Shotgun seat for his little shredders. We highly recommend giving him a shout for all your service needs!
Calvin
Bike Technician
Calvin, one of our talented bike technicians, first began at the Spoke Shop in 2014. His interest in bikes started out as mountain, but then grew into park and especially skate park riding. His main ride is a 22" S&M ATF, but when mountain biking, he prefers his custom built 2024 Trek Slash. When Calvin isn't fine tuning the bikes of Billings, you can catch him at the Billings Skate Park or Blue Creek Bike Park perfecting his many tricks.

Albert doesn't ride bikes. Albert is a dog.
Jaden
Service Writer
Jaden has been with The Spoke Shop since September of 2024, but has been a bicycle tech since 2020. He was gifted his first BMX bike at the age of seven and the rest was history! His bike collection ranges from a vintage steel Trek Multitrack to a 2025 Trek Checkpoint. Jaden has a soft spot for old bikes and loves restoring and working on classics.
Zack
Bike Technician
Zack has been working at The Spoke Shop since June of 2021, and loves learning any and all that he can about bikes. He currently rides a custom Trek Fuel EX and a custom Trek Checkpoint, but primarily prefers riding downhill as fast as possible! Zack specializes on electric bikes in the shop and loves giving the best experience to everyone that stops by the shop!
Dylan
Bike Technician
Dylan started riding dirt bikes with his Dad when he was four and later got into mountain biking after diving into YouTubers like JordanBoostmaster. Dylan spent his summers mowing lawns to save up for his first bicycle: a Trek Marlin 6. After a few years, he made the upgrade to a Specialized Stumpjumper Comp Alloy and began riding park. In 2021 Dylan joined the Spoke Shop crew as one of our main bike technicians!
Travis
Bike Builder/Group Ride Leader
Travis has been with the shop since about 2016 and is primarily a road cyclist. He leads our Monday night group rides and would love to have you join! You can find most of his work in the Bargain Barn where he brings used bikes back to life. His collection is mostly road bikes and a few modern commuters, but anything with two wheels is good in his book!
Tyler
Bike Builder
Tyler joined The Spoke Shop in the summer of 2025. He has several years of mechanical experience and an amazing attitude to top it off! Tyler first started out riding dirt bikes with his dad, before gravitating towards the world of bicycles. Now, Tyler prefers his Transition dirt jumper PBJ or his classic Schwinn XS Pro. When he's not fine tuning bikes, he enjoys shredding the local trails!
Dan
Bike Technician
In 2021, we were lucky enough to add Dan to our team of technicians, along with his specialty with recumbents and tricycles. Dan first started riding as a kid when he would "shred BMX," but now prefers his Specialized Tero, an electric hardtail mountain bike.
